Amy's Baking Company's Owners Blamed Gordon Ramsay And Kitchen Nightmares For Ruining Their Lives
Throughout the 8 seasons of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay dealt with some truly baffling restaurant owners. Instead of being open to Gordon's critiques and suggestions, many of the Kitchen Nightmares owners would argue with him and defend their failed practices.
However, by the time most Kitchen Nightmares episodes ended, the restaurant owners at least pretended to be more open to Gordon's advice. However, there was one episode of Kitchen Nightmares that became infamous. The reason for that is due to a pair of restaurant owners who were so hard-headed that Gordon couldn't work with them and left days early.
Based on that episode of the show, Kitchen Nightmares fans have long believed the owners of Amy's Baking Company were impossible to be around. However, according to the owners of Amy's Baking Company, it was Gordon who was the nightmare to deal with.

In May 2021, The New York Post interviewed the owners of Amy's Baking Company, Amy Bouzaglo and Salomon "Samy" Bouzaglo. While talking to the outlet, Amy shared how angry she was with Gordon and the show's producers.
In Gordon's case, Amy was mostly angry that he stated that the restaurant stole the wait staff's tips. Amy categorically denied they stole the wait staff's tips. “That is a flat-out lie. They really made us seem like horrible people.” Instead, Amy stated that they gave the wait staff a good salary to make up for them not getting tips.
According to Amy, people from Kitchen Nightmares' crew messed with the couple's restaurant to make them look bad. More specifically, Amy claimed that someone from the show "sabotaged" the restaurant's point-of-sale system to make sure things went wrong.
Still not done, Amy also claimed that someone from Kitchen Nightmares also messed with the food she made while the show was being filmed. According to Amy, ingredients in her kitchen were moved, which made it impossible for her to cook food properly.

While talking to The New York Post, Amy described how the Kitchen Nightmare episode airing affected her. According to Amy, the fierce backlash and Samy faced left her feeling despondent. “I literally just wanted to die.”
During the same interview with The New York Post,Amy also disputed the way Gordon and Kitchen Nightmares' producers made her seem defensive.
“I was completely shocked and mortified. They portrayed us as being defensive, combative. They made it seem like I couldn’t take any kind of criticism. Like Samy didn’t know what he was doing in the front.”
