Couples on TLC's 90-Day Fiancé: The Other Way are dealing with the fallout of not communicating their wants and needs properly to their partners and family members. Episode six showcases tensions rising all across the board.
The hit show captures the highs and lows of Americans who decide to pack up and move across the globe for love. This season we're seeing this idea may be more romantic than the reality.
Shekinah and Sarper's Not-So-Comfy Conversation At A Furniture Store
The episode starts with Sarper giving Shekinah something that can only be described as a passionate peck in an unromantic place: a furniture store. Maybe he thought a little spice could change the bitter conversation that was about to come his way minutes later.
As viewers know, their relationship has been full about fights about his playboy past. They had another feud in this episode after she met with an ex-fling of his who claimed he love bombed then ghosted her.
He tried to pivot from this ongoing dispute by bringing her to a furniture store where she could buy something "affordable" that she wanted. Yes, he even cheaped out in an attempt to cheer her up. Sarper, she just wants the truth about how you treat women. How much would that cost?
Their attempted shopping adventure brings back flashbacks of his dirty apartment. Will her potential vanity be used to lift the trash, hide the trash or be used to hold his empty bottle collection and black book?
They eventually had to stop arguing when the employee asked the to leave.
Sarper insists that he "changed totally as a person" when he met her.
Do they talk about anything else besides him changing? Girl, just leave.
James Experiences Culture Shock
James finally arrived in Meitalia's home country of Indonesia. The married couple still have not told her parents that they have moved here for good, and now their dishonesty is just annoying.
James had never been to her hometown before and was surprised when her father's house was a massive building that looked slightly like the White House of the United States. Despite the beauty on the outside, the inside still has a ways to go.

Her parents are upset that he still hasn't attempted to learn Indonesian despite promising that he would. He also broke his promise about providing kids (he doesn't want them, and he's not telling anybody about it).
Even worse than breaking his promises, James reveals that he's also broke due to car issues in America. He's really hoping her family will kindly pay him to sell Banana chips, which follows the trend of him doing exactly the opposite of what her family wants to do.
Statler Arrives In The U.K. With Fear In Her Eyes
Statler Riley came to the realization that her girlfriend, Dempsey Wilkinson, could be using her for "van life" the day before her flight. When she finally arrived in the United Kingdom, after selling nearly everything she owned, she didn't seem happy at all. The ladies didn't even kiss during the airport pickup.
Statler has a full-time job working in finance and is able to work remotely anywhere in the world. Dempsey did not have that luxury and quit her job to go on this adventure that's funded by Statler, her partner, who she's only met in-person once.
Their airport reunion wins as the absolute worst pick-up this season, and they fought on the car ride to pick up their expensive van. These two have a long journey ahead, if they even make it out of the city.
Josh Meets Lily's Male Badminton Pals
Josh is showing so much insecurity in this episode. We see him meet his wife, Lilly's, badminton buddies and get jealous. Then he even tells her that she's not in love with him.
What is happening? If he believed that, he wouldn't have quit his job as an HVAC salesman to move to China. He also wouldn't have let his rich wife, who owns her own skincare company in the country, renovate their home for nearly half a million dollars of her money.
We all know that he can't work for five years in China because he's on a spousal visa. Now he's admitting that he's terrified that she'll eventually leave him.
It's truly sad to watch because Lily seems like a complete joy who brightens up every single time she sees Josh. It's like he's looking for issues and even told the cameras when he got to China he realized "we have more problems than I thought we did."
